At least once a week I give thanks for the gifts of this food blog. When I began this venture last May I had no idea where it would lead. So when I received email from Margaret McCormick--the editor of the Syracuse Post-Standard food section--I practically fell out of my chair. I think it quite an honor to be seen as newsworthy by the local press. A piece about Cookin' in the 'Cuse is running in today's Syracuse paper or you can check out the story here.
I'm grateful to Margaret and the Post-Standard for the interview but even more thankful for what she has done to shine the light on our local food producers. There are so many wonderful things about Central New York and our farms and local food producers are at the top of the list. Our wonderful secret is getting out--yay!
Congratulations! Well done.

This is great! You sounded so articulate in article - I loved it. Congratulations, you deserve it.
(I have to admit to feeling puff-out-my-chest proud of you and what you've accomplished!)

Tana, Joe, Jen and Sam--I really should be thanking you all! You have inspired me and taught me so much.
And Jen--my goodness, what I can say. I forget how I found you, but your's was the first food blog I had ever read--a year ago this month. I still consider you a mentor and liken myself to the "Jen, Jr. of Syracuse"! You should take a full share of the sense of accomplishment of this article.
