On Tuesday, October 9th at 7:30pm the University Lecture series is bringing Alice Waters of Chez Panisse and Judy Wicks of Philadelphia's White Dog Cafe to Hendricks Chapel on the Syracuse University campus. This event is free and open to all so put it on your calendar and tell your friends.
The timing of these two luminaries couldn't be better. I get the sense that the cause and interest in eating locally, agricultural sustainability, and educating the current and next generations about how food is grown and where it comes from is growing faster than crab grass here in Central New York. I have hopes that our area can be the New York answer to the food sustainability revolution. Now we'll have the chance to be inspired by two of the best prophets of this food movement.
Mark your calendars--you won't want to miss this!
This event looks wonderful! Is registration required to attend?

Hi Antoinett,
Good question! There is no registration--just come and bring your friends.

Hey Jennifer - this might actually be a good opportunity to get all those upstate foodies/winos together! I'll try to make it, and maybe I can bring a chica or two with me...

Jay, that's a great idea! It would be great if you and others came out and if we gather folks from the east--how cool would that be? I'll put up a post about and test the waters.
