Today's Escape section of The New York Times covers our region. Kim Severson, known best for her reporting in Wednesday's food section, sets her sights on the delicious food to be found right here. She calls the Syracuse-Rochester-Ithaca area a triangle with the Finger Lakes as the juicy center. I love that--if I call it the "Golden Triangle" maybe she'll let me steal her phrase. Anyway, check it out in today's paper or hit the link here.

And you'll recognize Teresa Vanek in the photo, who is one of your fellow contributors to Edible Finger Lakes! Teresa writes the "Notes From the Farm" column for us. She and her husband Brent Welch (no relation to me) own Red Tail Farm and grow amazing produce just outside of Ithaca. Go to the market and get your hands on some of their garlic, it's out of this world good. So good in fact that our friends Brad Marshall and Heather Sanford at The Piggery are using it for their amazing sausages. Go Finger Lakes!

I was referred to your blog by Kate and Bill Day, and I must say - I owe them a huge (huge!) thank you .. I'm having so much fun reading your backlog, devouring your words.

Hey! GREAT blog. I just moved to Binghamton from Ithaca, but I still like to follow things up and around the 'Cuse area. I've added you to my Google Reader, and I can't wait to see what else you post :)
Have a great day!
