Okay, we still need the counter tops and the pantry shelves go in tomorrow but the fridge is plugged in and water would actually come out of the faucet if the sink were installed. Thanks everyone for all of the tips and suggestions. As it turns out, if we should hit the lottery (well, if we first play then hit the lottery) we will be able to get that beautiful Professional Series Thermador I dream about and put it in where the current stove is by simply (and rather easily) removing one of the cupboard units on either side of the stove--phew!
